I installed win98 on older 200mmx with a
I WILL motherboard . Win cannot find the serial mouse but will work with PS2 . Any help will be appreciated .

Make sure you have com1 enabled.. in bios.. and no conflicts in device manager.

This is sorta related. I have an I Will board also, (xa 100) and if I plug a mouse into the serial port I lose my modem function, but the mouse works OK.
I gave up on my serial mouse and went back to my 5$ cheapie..

If you really love your serial mouse that much just get a $1.00 PS/2 adapter.

When i built my new computer i installed all brand new parts but refused to part with my old AT keyboard. So i "invested" in a $1.00 AT to ps/2 adapter. Works fine.
