HEY,JUST PUT A BX6R2 IN A SYSTEM THAT HAD A AMD 333 AND ALI4 MB USED THE RAM MODULES 2 32S PC 100 ACER MODULES WHICH CAME WITH IT ON BOOT UP IT SAYS SPD NOT FOUND ON DIMMS 1&2 WHAT IS THIS,WRITE PROTECTION POSSIABLE, THANKS

I just went thru the Bios. Unlike the AMI bios, the Award Bios on the BX6.2 doesn't have a option to choose between modules with or without the SPD chip.
I suspect if you change the first three (depending on the Bios version, you may have only two) memory settings in Chipset Features from Auto to one of the numerical entries (2 or 3), the message may not appear. Try 3,3,3 first. Then 2,2,3 (3 for the CAS latency) If its okay at that setting, leave it or try 2,2,2 for an optimal setting, provided that the memory works at a CAS2 setting.
