My modem works fine on the internet, but when I try to connect to mirc channels there is no responce!!!! Does anyone have any idea of what to do

How doesn't it connect?

Does it give you a message?

Have you tried several of the IRC servers, or always the same? Or a specific one?

I have never been able to connect to any Mirc channels. I have tried many of the channels, the 16-bit and 32-bit versions of Mirc etc... The only errors I seem to get are "connection timed out" errors.
