CD-Writer ( philips 3610)

When i try to burn a cd it will give the message buffer-underrun even when i create a image-file from the cd to hd.
but when i disconnect my second cd-rom player
i dont have any problems. WTF is going on.
my HD is master on pri-ide
my cd-rom is slave on pri-ide
my burner is master on sec-ide

I used to have a 3610, and I got the same error all of the time, until a switched to a quality brand CD-R media. I was buying the cheap unbranded type, but I was throwing so many away it actually worked out cheaper to buy top of the line discs. TDK metallic or Sony discs are the best. Buy from mail order to get the cheapest prices.
