I wish to build my first PC soon and was wondering about the new AGP slots. Must I use the AGP slot if a motherboard has one or can I use my existing PCI graphics card until I can afford to replace it?
Any ideas!

PCI video cards work just fine on an AGP board.
Use the slot next to the AGP slot for your video card

When you get around to upgrading your vid card, buy an AGP.It's faster!

I agree with Dawtuff. I built 4 system. Last year got a new motherboard with agp it's really fast. This year bought the motherboard of the year. Also do yourself a favor (and this is the place to check it out) do not buy a cheap motherboard it isn't worth it.
