Hi,
I have SUSE 9.1 personal. What shall I do to if I don't have "make" and "compile command instaled. Please help because I'm a REAL NOOOOB in linux.

It's no big deal dude, in fact its painless. Double click on the yast utility on the bottom right of your panel. navigate to the software section and then use the similar to windows add and remove to search for the components you want to install. basically use the search in the add/remove to find gcc and make.
