Just picked up a used W.D. 34300 hard disk. The disk has 2 partitions- primary and extended DOS. The primary partition is quite small with the bulk of the space in the extended partition.
The problem- I would like to make one primary active partition, but when I try to delete the extended partition I get an error that the logical drives must be deleted first. When I view the partition information or try to delete extended drives I am told that none exist!! What gives?
Help would be appreciated.
