Including all CD-ROMs and network drives I've got 15 "partitions" showing up in windows explorer.
What I'm wondering about is why my CD-ROM and my CD-RW show up as M and Q respectively. This is not a big issue, but how can I get them to show up as M and N?
What is showing up as N? Anything?
To change a drive's letter designation, open control panel/system/device manager, select that drive, open properties, then set both "start drive letter" and "end drive letter" to the letter you want.
Keep them above the HD's partitions. Not an absolute must, but it keeps the confusion down.
This works for cd-rom, cd-r, or zip drives.
I've got mine set up so C - M are HD partitions (3 physical drives) N-Q are CD changer, R is CD-R, S is faster CD drive, & Z is zip, leaving T - Y for network drives.

Thanks Ed_S that did the trick. So simple and still I couldn't do it! Oh-well, we live and learn /forum/smile.gif.
