Iam about to purchase a CD rewriter shortly along with a new PC. Since the PC only has this CD writer drive and no standard drive will it be possible for me to still copy CD's
(data CD's and Music CD's)
yes, but it will take longer to copy a cd, because you have to load the cd to your hd, then burn it

Actually, it may take longer, but its more relaible. Thats how I burn all my cd's. I use CDRWin and copy the CD to the drive as a bin/cue file then burn it. that way if I need more than one copy i can do it that way.
It might be a good idea to toss any cheap reader in there as well. Writers are more expensive to replace, so you could use a basic reader for your general reading, saving the wear and tear on the writer.
