Hello,

Whenever I put a disk in the CDROM, it sounds like it's going to take off the runway. In addition, it hangs when playing any game. I then get a " Cannot write to C " error. I then have to reset and I cannot boot up with out doing a full disk scan first.I have changed MB's and CD drives with no luck. I have also updated firmware and drivers for every component in the system. please help!! thanks, Mike

PS- P450, 160mb, 11ghd, Diamond v770 Ultra, C400 MB, Creative 6x dvd ( also tried a Kenwood 50x-same results)

sounds like a cable problem or a resource problem but need more info like do you have both hooked on same cable?do you have both master and slave set? did you just build this system or has it run in the past?anything.mac

Is DVD and hard drive on same port as master and slave, if so try putting DVD to second port as master.
otherwise follow MAC's questions
