HELP!!!!!
Exactly one year and two weeks ago I bought a Progen PII 266 notebook. Last week, while running on battery power, I pluged in the ac adapter and parallel (printer) cable, somehting I have done many times before. The machine did a reboot when I did this, and now it wont boot. The bios gets to the point of recongnizing the CDROM and hard drive and then it just stops. F2 (pressed at any time) doesnt get me into "steup" either. There are no beeps from the Phoenix bios (4.0 release 6.0) The bios chip has sticker which says: PU-586e R:103.
Progen is out of business and I have no freaking idea who makes the mboard. I believe I need a new bios chip (oh yeah, floppy was disabled in bios and I cant enable it since I cant get into setup). I tore the thing apart and have most if not all the chip-set/modem/cdrom... info.
Can anyone help?????????? Please????!!!!!
