I am having an intermittent problem with my modem. 90% of the time it works fine, but then while it is dialing or shortly after connecting it will throw up a blue screen with the following message:

An exception 00 has occurred at 0028:C573183D in VxD LTMDM4 (01)+ 0004BFB9. This was called from 0028:C57199B2 in VxD LTMDM4 (01)+ 0003412E. It maybe Possible to continue normally.

My system details are as follows:
Gigabyte GA5-AX Ali Aladdin V AGPset mobo
Cyrix MII 233 MX overclocked to pr 333
Maxtech 56k voice fax modem
Ati xpert 98 video card

In order to use the modem again I usaually can reinstall the modem driver and it will work fine for another 10 to 15 loggins. Sometimes I have to reboot before it with work properly. I think it is a driver problem but I'm not sure. Does anyone know where I can find the latest driver for this modem. Does anyone know what else would be causing this problem. The pci bus is running at 33 mhz so I don't think that it has anything to do with the overclocking. Everything else runs great! Thanks for any help you can give me.

It does sound like you need some updated drivers.

Thank you very much Susan. I have downloaded the new driver and will see if it solves the problem.
