I don't use them so I don't know if any here are free, but you have a bunch to look at! http://users.erols.com/chare/hardware.htm grandslammer 08-19-1999, 03:10 PM I saw Leo mention net zero on ZDTV. How is it? I may be out of state for a while, and was curious about it. I downloaded the software, but never set it up. I figure, if I go somewhere else for a month or two, why set up another account, when I can use that! Let me know what you think. Feel free to e-mail me any time.. Good Lucjk In All... Mike P. But why would you need Netzero if you are going to be useing another computer? If you have a dial-up ISP as long as that program is on the computer that you are planning to use,all you have to do is enter your user name an password. If you do intend to use Netzero signup & log on before you leave & Netzero will send you a CD.Then where ever you go all you have to do is load the program & enter your info. Anakhonda 08-20-1999, 01:35 PM Being the unwealthy student that I am, I use Netzero as my primary ISP... I'm told (wink) that you can download a file to place in your Netzero directory on your HD that will get rid of that banner altogether... and it will stop netzero from automatically kicking you off-line when inactive... I'm told all this... I don't know for sure (wink, wink) because it is against the users agreement with Netzero and I (wink) would never put myself in that kind of situation. Pseo15 08-20-1999, 09:55 PM Have you guys noticed when you download the netzero application to (4) 3.5 floppy there are erros when u try to run it? 800XL 08-21-1999, 08:55 AM http://web.ukonline.co.uk/mick.s2/new/ lists some resources for USENET news servers that should be available from Netzero. It would appear that NZ does not provide a news server or feed of their own. Their are also some places available that charge for access to their news servers. Do a web search for 'newsgroup servers' and you should find several. SysOpt.com
