the date and time on my pc keep changing or getting stuck to what I corrected it last since I used my pc. Do I need to change the pc battery or something? Please advise! Thanks.

Yep,it seems you need a new battery.Don't know what kind of system you have. Some are a replaceable plugin,and some(old 'puters)have to be soldered into the MB(tech work)...hope you have a newer 'puter.......DawgTuff.

Check your Specs and make sure you don't loose your BIOS when you change your battery.
Been there done that.

Its not neccesarily your battery. How old is your system? If its less that five years old, I doubt its the battery. Try getting the latest bios upgrade for your computer. If that doesn't work, you may want to call the manufacturer. I had one motherboard that had a bad resistor in it and the clock was always getting reset. When windows would boot it would say "Your clock has been reset for daylight savings. Please check to make sure its correct". Of course it was not December 22, 1983--so somethign was not right. Had the mobo replaced and its fine (sort of) now.

Are you setting the clock in BIOS Setup? If you only correct the OS clock, the two will do battle.
