Is this somewhat true, everytime a drive gets bumped up i've noticed the drive does particularly better in benchmarks.

If so, i have an 80GB drive with XP on and a 120GB drive for storage. Both are WD and both are the 8MB JB's. Would it be worth switching the 120GB to house XP?

They way they makes those graphs it is really decieving. Just look at the numbers and figure it on a percentage of improvement. They make it look like there is a big difference but really it's very small. The differences in performance are not worth the hassle.

Actually the new improved performance you noticed is all Thanks to those HUGE cACHE sizes that comes larger and larger with the new drives :)
