Hi we purchased a refurbished computer via ebay. It was stated that the computer had a GV-6VM7A + ver 3.2. Upon going to a site recommended by a friend www.crucial.com for purchasing RAM in which a scan of your computer is done, it would seem that we have a GA-6LX4(686LX4) I was wondering if anyone would be able to assist and tell us the difference ? Thanks and Cheers Kim :t

Gigabyte never made a GV series. I'm sure that you mean GA:
http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/Products/Products_GA-6VM7-4I-L.htm
http://www.gigabyte.de/products/ga686lx4.htm
It's in German. You can translate it with Google:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gigabyte.de%2Fproduct s%2Fga686lx4.htm&langpair=de%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
There appears to be a huge difference. One is an old Slot 1 motherboard and the other is Socket 370.
Good old Ebay. I hate the pirates that hang out there.
