I have been told that my CD-rom drive does not support multi-session. (I can not read Kodak Photo CDs). Do I need a multi-session
upgrade? Is it a driver or firmware update to the CD-ROM drive?? By the way, looked up my CD-ROM spec and it states my CD supports multi-session.
I have Win95, the driver installed is "Standard ATAPI". Any help appreciated !!

How old is your cd rom, and who is the manufacturer? I have an old 4x Mitsumi drive that will read multi-session discs. Since the specs states that it supports it, it probably does. I guess the easiest way would be to test it. But do you have any multi session discs? You only have to worry about this if you are reading cdr's, that is the most common multi-session application that I can think of.

I regularly create multisession CDRs & have had no problems with drive being unable to read them. Have used in drives as old as 2x. On the other hand, I have had problems with older drives being unable to read the cheap cdr media, multisession or not. Good quality blanks make a big difference.
Have to agree that multisession discs are rare, no commercial discs or copies of them will be ms.

prm- Go to www.adaptec.com (http://www.adaptec.com)
They can help I think. Maybe you need a UDF(universal disk format) reader.
