I'm having no end of problems trying to get my ADSL to work in Linux. I reinstalled today, and ALL my networking info was detected exactly the way it should be by DHCP, except for my default gateway, which set manually, and IP forwarding, which I then turned on. Still no go.

There's some little detail that I'm not picking up on here, and a real experienced Linux user might be able to point it out. I've exhausted the local gurus with my problem (all 3 of them http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif), so I need to look elsewhere. Please suggest ANY detail that I may have overlooked, no matter how obvious it may seem.

Or at least point me towards a good BBS or newsgroup. Thanks.

Well, there's barely any posts there, but it's worth a try. Thanks.

It's Popeye's place and he's a great guy and very knowledgeable as well as some others. Give it a try.
