I just upgraded a computer w/ a PCCHIPS LX mobo and 333 Celeron on a daughter card. This thing is painfully slow. HD Tach reports 49% CPU utilization on the 2GB Seagate UDMA/33 HD. No problems reported in controll panel. IDE drver problem maybe? Any other thoughts?

You say that there we no problems under the control panel but do specify exactly what you have checked. If you haven't checked performance tab under System then I would start there. Look for a message that says "Your system is configured for optional performance.", if you instead find something about your drives not configured properly then you may need to reinstall Windows.

Good luck,
Carl

Is that one of those computer on a card upgrades with the cpu and cache andram and all on the same card That you put in a pci slot? I heard about them on screen savers on ZDTV. Evidently they are a real b*tch to get setup properly.

If that's not it then.......

............................never mind.......
