I would like some input / advice on buying my next system.. I recently sold my K62 450 system, to a guy I work with, and am going to save up a few months, and purchase a real beast. I want something like a k63 600, or a Athlon 600/700, etc. Keep in mind I'm not buying it until March or so, I was also wanting 256 mb ram, a 18 gig 7200 rpm harddrive, 19 inch monitor, and a top of the line video card obviously, main things I want to know are this, will faster memory than the current 133mhz spec be out at a half way affordable price by march, and will it be feasible to use it, I figure by then that alot of the bugs will be worked out of the motherboard designs, and what not. Also, what will be a good video card to run with that system, I know right now that cards like the viper v770 ultra, and the matrox g400 are good, but I figured by then there would be better choices, I read somewhere about a 64mbcard coming out, but was going to be based on the savage chipset or something. Also, will they have the k63's and k7's on the .18 fab process by March or so?? Any input would be greatly appreciated, I"m sick of using my wife's p133 already.HEHE...but believe it or not I can burn cd's w/ this meager system, hehe...
