I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SRX and I would have to type in the IP to get to the firmware and change the settings to connect to internet to log onto my DSL. My old D-link wireless router logged on automaticaly after powered on and I am curious if I have to do this every time or is there a setting for auto logon for Linksys wireless routers.

Thanks,

and you configure and save it in the default profile

make sure you did install the software

and open that green control panel, then follow the easy configuration menue in the default settings

The setup wizard doesn't have the Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet selection available.

I was able to get online by typing http://192.168.1.1/ to reach the firmware and enter the SBC password and user name and then click connect under the status window.

The only problem is that if i turn my router off i would have to manually click connect under the status after reboot. My dlink router saved the connection setting and auto connect even if i reboot the router. Does yours auto connect?

thanks,

I've called lynksys and they advise firmware V3. Why would a brand new router come with firmware V1.0013?
