Win98 Confusion

Hi,
I have Win98 SE on my computer...

I was looking through my Technet CDs and I just noticed the May 1999 one has Win98 SR Beta2 on it.

Is this really Win98 SE, or is it a newer version. I notice there are more CAB files than with SE.

Win SE is the newest version. Beta was prior to the release of Win 98. /forum/smile.gif

You can change the number of Registry backup copies (.cab files) by editing ScanReg.ini in your windows folder.

The default value is MaxBackupCopies=5. Values from 00 to 99 are valid.
