can anyone please tell me,(in nerd terms)'
how to operate ws ftp, so that I can upload a web page. I can't understand it.

I use Cute Ftp and sometimes Leap Ftp.
Just start the program,log in to your ftp
site.In the left window navigate to the place on your hard drive that has the file you need, highlight it and hit Ctrl + PgUp

ok ws ftp isn't the friendliest but you can get it to work. First go and click on new to make a new site. then put in you ftp site address in and put in your user name & Pass then if you need to put in a port then goto the advance tab and put in the right port. then make sure you hit save that should ssave the settings to use for futre reference.

Do NOT attempt to transfer directories with ws ftp. When I did that there was some serious mixups with files being put in the wrong folders on the server.

The moral is: create the directories on the server first, then transmit your files one directory at a time.
