ati multimedia center

have a problem recording tv. my ati multimedia center drops about 20% of the frames each time i try to record. It worked few days ago. thought it was bad hdd time, so i defragged all my drives and still drops frames. I uninstalled, then reinstalled mmc and its still dropping frames? any ideas?

I'd guess and say its a setting in the codec you're using.
