XP Pro vs 2K Pro

Can anyone run down the pro's and cons of both for a small business office PC? Can you also support your idea?

-5 PC's in the peer to peer network.
-Possible web applications (Java) to be developed for use to connect to DB inside office, next few years.
-Some security but not locked down. Some folders inaccessible to others in network, but on server with all other public files.

No other restrictions or needs come to mind.

same thing regardless of XP or 2000

all those things are done on the server side

I would go with xp pro. there are more group policies available and it will be supported for longer than win2k. they aren't even planning another service pack for win2k.
