A buddy of mine has a big problem. He bought a p3 450, Abit BH6,128 MB
pc-100,a midi tower atx case,Maxtor 13,6 GB HD, a 40x CDROM Drive, a CD-RW Drive,a 3,5 floppy drive, a voodo 3 2000 ,and from his old system a pci lan card and an isa SB 16.
We put the whole system system together but when we tried to install win 98 and later win 95 we got only two times Blue screen of death but the other tries mostly after hardware recognition in win 95,98 we got error message: Suwin caused a stack fault in module suwin.exe at 0006:2bdy or: suwin caused a general protection fault in module setupx.dll at 0023:1dd8. also sometimes error message that there was an error with a Cab file.
I don't think it's the Cd but.. what can it be? We have tried a lot (Bios settings) Perhabs incompatibility between one of the components??
Help fast, please. This crazy guy wants to sell everything and is thinking about doing anything else with the money. That would be the end of cool Lan nights.

I would take out EVERYTHING except the video card and start reloading Win98 ONLY again. DO NOT INSTALL Win95 after you have Win98 installed.

After Win98 is installed and running, shutdown and install ONE card at a time making sure each card works after a reboot before installing the next card. Win98 (and Win95 more so) had problems installing more than one card at a time.
