Has anyone got any tips on doing a fresh install of winxp (i.e. formatting c: and re-installing)??
I know how to do it, but I was wondering if there were any precautions i should take. I have all my data on a seperate (logical) partition called e:, so loss of data isnt a problem, but are there any things I should watch out for?

Thanks in advance,
scouselad.

PS I just did a recovery install to try and get back onto the net, and I still can't get to any websites, although I am apparently connected to the network. I'd also appreciate any solutions to this problem which don't involve formatting and re-installing Windows! (Apart from Linux - see my other thread!) Thanks.

There are no precautions other than having your drivers ready.

The repair technique is not always successful. Run the Home Networking wizard.
