hey all im looking to upgrade my Athlon XP/AGP video card to Athlon 64 (939 pin) and a SLI graphics card system, and im just after a few motherboard suggestions as we only have 3-4 to choose from right now in Australia mainly ASUS boards. im not after the best board with every feature in the world just after a good priced and good product with or with out Sata Raid, although they pretty much all have that now dont they? and Dual channel DDR-2 would be nice but not a must as im not so sure they are very established yet are they?
dont need sound or firewire or a million USB ports :p
if you would like any other info just ask oh and Gigabit LAN would be very handy aswell, thanx

DFI has a GREAT SLI board for you, read the recent review at Anandtech.
DDR2 isn't anything to be concerned about yet, the slower latency thus far has been a bigger factor that its higher frequency, and AMD has no near-future plan to support it.

Yep you might need a new ATX PSU, depending on your current system though. What type of system do you already have?
Good PSU's are Thermaltake, Enermax, and Antec. There are others I think but I can't remember them all.

AthlonXP 2400+
Gigabyte GA-7N400 mobo
256x2 Corsair XMS
GeXcube 9600XT Xtreme
Xsonic 450 watt power supply (pretty much generic)
might not need a new PSU just the main connector on the DFI Lanparty mobo look to be slightly larger, im probably wrong though
