I just recently upgraded a US Robotics 56k x2 upgrade. Took a 33,600 to 56k But connect speeds are the same line quality is fine I even tried a 56k modem from location and get 49,333 connects. I also did the v.90 upgrade but it didn't help either. Still connecting at 31,200 or 33,600 Modem drivers have been changed to correct one for 56k usr modem. thanks

Talk to your ISP. Maybe they have Kflex 56k modems. If their nodems are not V.90 or are not X2 compatible then you wont get 56k.

I had the same problem and U.S. Robotics RMA'D it for me. Now it works fine.
