!!!!!!!!!!!!!I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My configuration is
Tekram P5MVP-A4 (VIA chipset)
128MB RAM
K6-2 400
6.4 SCSI HDD
Tekram SCSI PCI Controller
Kingston PCI Ethernet Controller
I just upgraded my video card to the Viper 770 (non-ultra) from Diamond. I am suddenly having a lot of trouble. I can't seem to get the video past 640x480x16colors. For some reason after the drivers are installed the pc speaker starts emitting a constant beep. The video card is on IRQ 11. I have tried clearing the BIOS & also flashed it with the latest upgrade. I have gotten the video to come up only once but shortly after the speaker started beeping again. I have disabled the voltage for cpu alert in the bios so i know that this is not what is activating the speaker. Is there some sort of compatibility issue here? Is there something I'm missing?? Please help!!!!!
