Can a wireless router be interferring with a wireless musical instrument microphone. I wouldn't think they could because of frequency differences. However, I have an old Nady wireless guitar mike that says the RF Carrier Frequency Range is 169-216MHz. In the same room I have a Linksys wireless G router, which operates at 2.4 GHz. When I play, I am only about 5 feet from the transmitter and when I turn I will get hige rashes of loud distorted volume. I am also about 6 feet the other direction from the router. I would think the differences in frequency would prevent them from interferring with each other, but cannot think of anything else around that woul affcet it. I also have one of the antennas for the router removed and have connected a Hawking 15 db gain antenna and wondered if that would have any affect.

Pretty unlikely but um, isn't it pretty easy to test this out. Turn the mic on. If you get interference when your AP is on but not off then you have a problem right?

Guess you are right, looks like I'm making it harder than it really is!

With wireless equipment around now its a pain..

If you take a mobile phone, that will cause serious havoc with audio, my USB wireless can be heard through my speakers..

if there is one enviroment wireless could seriously loose out in, its audio, which is a shame as there are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
many wires and cables in audio..
