I have a Seagate Marathon Model ST91350AG in my notebook. First of all I heard a clicking sound. Sounds like clik, clik, clik...dak... It repeats and repeats again. Then I download a Seagate Low Level Format utility and do the low level format. But it fails to detect the drive so I restart it. Then my notebook unable to detect the drive again.Can anyone tell me how can I recover the drive or it is already dead.

Try formatting using a windows startup disc. Low-level format doesn't make it bootable generally. Sounds like the armature in the drive is about shot, but it worked before, so may still work. Put a boot disc in the floppy drive and at the a: prompt type in format c:
