I have a technical question....

I have an AMPTRON AMD K6 PM-8600 233MHz

Computer was working until I removed the NIC card. Now when I power up these are the symptoms:

When the power supply is connected to the PM8600 Motherboard the fan
does not spin, no led lights are lite in front or harddrive sounds, but monitor power
led does turn on and lights up.

When the power supply is disconnect from the PM8600 Motherboard the fan
will spin and the DC voltages measured at the pin connectors are all
correct, +/-5V DC and +/-12V DC.

The question I want to ask is what may be the problem to why I
can not receive any power to the motherboard?? Is there a fuse
somewhere? And how come when the PS is disconnected the fan spins in
the PS ut when connected it does not?

Thank-you, Lynn

Sounds like you have grounded your mainboard.
Remove your mainboard. Connect the power supply, and turn it on. Do the fans spin now? Make sure you have it plugged it in with the black wires in the middle.... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
