lcd screen

hi. friends laptop screen got busted and it needs a new one. the laptops is an HP pavillion xz148. everywhere i went online that i found they where askin like 500 which he would be better off just gettin a new laptop. does anyone knows where i can get a used screen at. thanks carlos

Try Ebay. You may be able to find one cheaper. You have to weigh the price against what is available for $500 in the way of a used computer. I would think that laptop is worth twice that if it's loaded. If it's minimum hardware then I would look for a new one.

now i know why i couldnt find the lcd on ebay. the model number that it is next to the keyboard is not the one it is the one under the laptop zt1000. it is alright computer. i was able to find a few screens for about 200 used on ebay. well here is what the laptop looks like http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31550&item=6737993371&rd=1
