delete desktop icons, quick launch icons go too

what can cause the quick launch icons to be removed when i delete their desktop counterparts?:confused:

The quick launch icons could have been shortcuts of the Desktop icons. Thus, since you are removing the target, it could be removing the shortcut as well. Just a thought.
