Its me once again. After getting my cdrom and cd burner to work together, both of them cannot play audio CDs. CDplayer under accessories cannot detect the audio cd (originals) in the drive (both of them....dang!). Please advice, thanks. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Sounds like the CDplayer is confused on which drive to read from.

I called the manufacturer for technical support and they suggested reloading Win98. Apparently its a sign of conflict. Any comments??
Background -- I have just installed a CDRW with my normal CDRom set as master. Both are working fine, just that both drives cannot detect audio cds (originals) using CDplayer. The error message that appears is "no audio cd detected" "please place original cd in tray". The contents of cd however, can be explored and the tracks could be played in the previewer of EZ CD Creator.
If you could please e-mail me a reply at ikan_kekek@hotmail.com Many MAny thanks

I've seen this setup wotk for other people try it and let me know if it works.
Primary (Master) IDE 1: Booting Hard drive.
Secondary (Slave) IDE 1: CDROM either one.
Primary (Master) IDE 2: CDROM either one.
Secondary (Slave) IDE 2: any other Hard Drive in PC.
Try the CDROM's in one config then flip if you have troubles if this setup doesn't work at all it maybe a conflict due to the fact you have both CDROM drives on the same IDE cable.

Thanks...finally got it fixed by reloading Win98. Yup, you're right, CDplayer was confused by the 2 CDRoms on the same IDE cable. Cheers
