I resently added a ADSL card (ethernet) and rearanged my cards for better coolin'. Now when I boot up I get an error message that there is an IRQ conflict with SB Live, it also says that the SB 16 emulator will not load up. SB live resides at IRQ 11(SB 16 emulator IRQ 10), along with ethernet card, USB hub, and 4 (?!) PCI steering devices. I have dissabled my comm ports to give back one IRQ. The device manager says that there are no conflicts (BS!). 4 speaker mode does not work and audio HQ not load up, I also get lockups on the internet. I have IRQ's 4,5,9 open. Being a newbe, how do I dissable PnP so I can give everything it's own happy little IRQ? I have relaoded every driver imaginable. I have not tried any USB device yet to see if it's screwin' up (I only have one, a MS Sidewinder).
System:
p2-333(375)
MicroStar mobo (ya,ya,ya it's next on the list)
dual monster vodoo2 cards
Sblive
ethernet (ADSL) will only install to IRQ11
Creative Encore DVD
ATI Rage pro AGP
Thanks in advance to any one schoolin' me! =)

P.S. I am a mechanical engineer. You know fans, air flow, cooling, stuff like that. Maybe I can help someone. I have very different ideas about heat than most on this site. I also have a very unusual cooling setup on my rig.

Hi there! You need to be in the BIOS, there will be a group of settings for your irqs and they'll be set to pnp auto, switch it to the one you want. Once you know your bios type there are specific instructions on this site. Good Luck.
