hello, i own a STB Velocity 4400 AGP2x 16SDram, 1.60 version of the card, a 1.10
bios version of the card, a Sony Vaio Pentium II 266 MMX, 64mb of ram, 4.1 gig, a 15
inch trinitron monitor, a resolution of 1027x768, True Color(32bit), a B type Windows 95
OS, 24x cdrom drive, and an Intel AL440LX motherboard(original board)...Anyways now my problem is that when i play like games Quake 2 and Sin(this came
bundle with software and i have latest upgrade for it) things kind of like freeze up for a
millisecond than goes back to smooth playing and also things like repeat up, for example a
character might be saying "come" and its gonna come out like this: come come come
come come come come etc...!!!!!! how do i solve this problem!! i had d/l the NVidia
Detonator 2.08 driver and it kind of solve the problem on my Quake 2 game and a tiny
bit on the Sin, but still while i play, game freezes up for a millisecond and things repeat!! especially on the **** SIn game, which i have the latest update for and to think it even came with the card itself!

I've come to the conclusion that the Velocity 4400 sucks! I've been encountering similar problems with my card but my computer completly freezes. Try checking your IRQs to make sure that it isn't conflicting with anything else. I am wondering if you had the initial problems of freezing up too? Did downloading the upgrades to Quake fix that? Also, what IRQ is your STB card operating on? I am curious????

Burn-up,

Sounds like its time to upgrade to win98.

A friend of mine tried to install a new burner in his PC win 95b. Long story short after months of trial and error he ended up getting win98 and first install the PC worked, even better than it did before.
