LONDON (Reuters) - Matt Lucas' squeal of protest -- "I'm the only Gay in the Village" -- has been voted the greatest comedy catchphrase of all time in a poll of almost 4,000 British viewers.
The petulant one-liner from the corpulent Welsh Gay Dafydd came top for the award-winning BBC series Little Britain.
Second in the poll, published Tuesday, was the late comic Tommy Cooper for "Just Like That" followed by Homer Simpson's "Doh!"
In the survey for entertainment channel UKTV Gold, Little Britain scored with three of the Top 20 most memorable catchphrases.
Teenage delinquent Vicki Pollard's outraged "Yeah but .. no but" came fifth while David Williams' anguished transvestite cry of "I'm a laydee" came 12th.
