Here's my problem. Want to upgrade my computer. Now has 32MB DIMM. When I put in the new 64 DIMM the computer boots up and counts off the correct memory size. Then pauses and reboots. It's like an endless loop. Count the memory, reboot, count the memory, reboot, etc. Any help?
It's a P55-VP3 mainboard with a K-2 333 processor and a 16MB AGP Voodoo board.
Look forward to any insight.
Try changing the DIMM's around in the slots first.

The ram might be bad or if the 32mb dimm is not pc100 and the 64mb is, then there is your problem. Non pc100 ram and pc100 ram can't be in the same computer!
Very few computers will not mix all kinds of (non-ECC) SDRAM. It sounds like you might have one. If SD's method doesn't help, and both sticks work OK alone, that's the only thing I can think of.

Richard - Yes they can...There are conflicts sometimes but most of the time PC100 and PC66/133 ram dont conflict with eachother.
