I am getting a dos prompt window on my win95 desktop when starting up my computer. It says "specified command search directory bad". There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with Autoexec.bat or Config.sys and startup folder. The latest software I loaded since this was RealAudio G2 Upgrade which didn't load properly but now seems to work. Can someone please help.

You may have some program actually calling for something in DOS on start-up....In Win98 you can simply use ...start/run/msconfig then the start-up folder to adjust any of the start-up programs. In Win95, you normally don't have that luxury, however, ZD net has a free dnld program called "Start-up Cop" which does a great job in monitoring start-up in Win95 and will allow you to make adjustments from there. It is available at:http://hotfiles.zdnet.com/cgi-bin/texis/swlib/hotfiles/info.html?fcode=000YKL&b=
Again, I suspect you have something calling for a DOS program on start-up. Let us know if this works out for you.

Bob,
I uninstalled Real Audio and installed it again and it cleared the problem. Such is life..
