I am a little confused as to how to install a new serial ATA drive into my friends new rig. First off, can you run the setup with just one SATA drive, or do you need an array. The reason I ask this is because the mobo (Asus A7V600-x) has an option where you hit tab and lets you set up the array, but I cannot do anything because I only have one drive. There are no options in the bios for SATA and when I load windows it says it cannot detect and storage devices. I read somewhere that I will have to load SATA drivers in the beginning of the windows install but where would I get those for this mobo and a WD WD1600JD HD? Thanks for any help, this SATA technology is very new to me. Thanks again!

Ok, I found the drivers from Asus for the mobo and created the disk I needed to load during the beginning of windows start up, its identical to using a SCSI drive...Everything is going fine now. So apparently any combo of drives will work.
