I have had a problem with Viruses/Trojens that I have now fixed but it has left things a bit scared. the only problem I have left that I know of is with the printer drivers and spooler.

Printer drivers wont reinstall and every time I reboot I get an error mesagebox come up - spooler subsystem app shut down - send error report to MS. you know the normal one you get when a program crashes.

I looked at the information that would be sent and there seems to be problems with a lot of DLL's ie shell32.dll, ntdll.dll the list is quite long so I think it is time to learn about a repair install because there are problems I don't yet know about.

I was wondering about any problems/pit falls when doing a repair that I should be aware off before I start, is there a GOOD web site guide that will help me with this? or is it quite painless?

Any help would be most welcome. Oh yeah one more thing, my backup (I only have one) will have these original viruses etc so that is about worthless.

Thanks in advance.

Pen'n'paper, hmmm, not heard of that program. Who makes it?? How fast is it?

And is it XP compatible?? (wink!)
