probably a dumb question but what is the most efficient way to copy all my games and data from one HD to my new HD that will be in my new PC. I don't want any drivers copied. Or should I just format and create a new partition on my new HD and then copy all my games and data later.
There are no dumb questions, only impatient answers.
Why not copy the drivers? They use little space and will not be in the way of those that are functional in the new system. DriveCopy makes an exact image on the target drive, which must be larger, and provides a foundation for the new system without format and partition hassles. Have your OS disk ready when you start the new system. It may be called upon for some drivers.

Just performed my first drive copy to new hard drive and no problems at all. Make sure to set the new drive as a primary slave when copying, and then reset the jumpers back to master so you can boot from it. Drive Copy AMAZED me! Great Product!

i've tried almost all these jumpers so I was wondering what you think is the correct one. my other HD just has a master, slave and cable select. this new ata66 has som many options. first there is device0(master),device1(slave) cable select, device1(slave) present. all these settings come in either 16 heads or 15 heads or 2GB clip or auto spin disable. In all that sums up to 16 different jumper settings(4 jumpers for four different categories) some of which I've tried. Is there one that I should definitely try or set it to?
