I built my own computer last year. I finally bought a new monitor, a Princeton EO705. I have a CL Blaster Banchee 16MB Video Card. I started up the monitor, loaded drivers and the video card defaulted to 1024x768 at 75. I worked with that for awhile but decided I would rather be at 800x600. When I change the card the monitor says "out of range". No matter whether I put the refresh rate at 60, 75 or Optimal. I got it to go once with Optimal but when I set the color above 256 it went out of range again. Any answers?

That sounds like a display drivers problem. Do you have the latest drivers for your Banshee installed? Your monitor may not support 800x600 (I doubt it...) or your video card may not be compatible with the monitor at that res.

I did down load the newest drivers. That's what started me on the mess. That's when I decided to change pix. The monitor book says its OK. What next?
