I`ve recntly changed bowsers and keep recieving you-are-about-to-use-an-unencrypted- connection-which-could-be-viewed-by-
third-parties-do-you-wish-to-proceed type messeges, so i`m wondering how common this is for ordinary surfing, not credit card shopping, and does a connection need to be encrypted constantly. and who or where is it encrypted. I`ve changed from ie to mozilla firefox and have been advised to switch off the prompts because they are not important. sounds important to me though.

Welcome to SysOpt :t

I too have disabled those warnings seeing as they pop up every other day. Just as long as you use save browsing habits, and only enter your credit card into sites which are secure, you should be set.
