Is it possible to have Internet Explorer (or Internet Options) set to always connect to a 8080 port for any website it connects to? It seems like one has set a proxy up in Internet Options but lets say this isnt set as eflected in that window. Is there a location in the registry which can force various applications, which rely upon Internet Options, to be directed to a different port or address besides modifying the HOSTS file?
