Have a Dell Latitude D600 with Win2K. Laptop has built in wireless card and nic card. Running either wireless or lan line the computer keeps bouncing from on-line to off-line.
Troubleshooting:
Restarted machine.
Double checked to make sure the wireless card was turned off.
Connected laptop in a different office.
Tried lan line and then wireless.
Installed another Nic card.

Don't think it is the switch because this is the only computer having issues. Was leaning towards bad nic cards until I installed the 3rd party nic.

Owner of laptop had installed software for there new DSL connection at home. I deleted that software off and edited out there configeration on the wireless card.

Not sure what else to try.

Anybody have any suggestions please.:t :t

Thanks guys.

Midknyte,
I figured it out. Even though the wireless card was off, there was a toggle switch in the configuration to enable and disable the radio signal. I went in and unchecked this option so it would turn the radio signal off. I then rebooted and everything seems to be working fine.
I don't quite understand why if the wirless card is off you would want a radio signal still broadcasting.

But it worked.:D

Thanks guys:t :t
