I was reading this:

and I thought I would had my own experience with 3dfx support.

As you know if you read this board a lot, I wanted to had a second V2 in my computer and I was wondering if I could use different brands. So I asked 3dfx support. One week later (which long but not aweful) I got a one line answer saying I could if I used the latest 3dfx ref. drivers. This information is VERY wrong. You CAN'T run mis-matched V2s with the 3dfx drivers without hacking them and even then it didnt work for me (**** M3D2). So I did buy the 2nd V2 and after about 10 seconds of swearing at my computer I wrote back to 3dfx saying it didnt work and that I needed help. (remember the only reason I bought a mis-matched V2 is because 3dfx, the maker of the chip, told me it would work).

This is where I really get pissed off at their support system. The guy wrote me back 2 and a half week later!!!!!! Saying he was sorry for the delay, that he had been on vacation!!! This mean 3dfx support is not fowarded if someone is not there for whatever reason! What kind of professionalism (this cant be spelled right!) is this?!?!

His second e-mail didnt do anything to help me... And not his third one either (which came in another week later)

In the mean time I solved the problem myself with the help of the internet community (i love you guys http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ).

I then decided to write 3dfx Tech. support manager saying how disapointed I was (maybe you should do the same). One week later I'm still waiting for feedback...

This is why I think 3dfx tech. support is really bad... plain and simple, backed by facts.

Some people might say: Its normal that it takes time to answer your question because so many people a 3dfx cards... This is no excuse, They didn't mention this when they took my money. They sell a lot of boards, they should offer a lot of tech. support!

anyway... I'm very disapointed at 3dfx...and I hope they see this but I doubt they will...Their money might be blocking the view... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
