I have a MSI KT4V and I have just bought a new fan from arctic cooling (i think it was). It seems like a good fan but it is too loud so I want to slow it down. It is connected to my mobo via the 3pin connector. Is there any software to control this or do I need to maybe flash the BIOS then change the setting in the BIOS.

The MSI site for my mobo is here (http://msicomputer.co.uk/products.aspx?product_id=703425)

And the list of software for it is here (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/software/swr/spt_swr_detail.php?UID=362&kind=1)

I have BIOS version 1.8 and the list of BIOS versions is here (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=362&kind=1)

You would need a controller like this:

Fine - then check the reviews and buy a quieter fan.
